Gaza, United to Stop the Destruction and Defend Human Dignity

Focus on Africa for Gaza and peace

Focus on Africa’s participation in the June 7 demonstration aims to be a strong, visible gesture of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Today’s rally for Gaza is crucial for all who believe in the right to life, peace, and international solidarity.
Focus on Africa firmly and decisively supports the large demonstration against the horror of the extermination and ethnic cleansing campaign that the Palestinian people are enduring. This commitment stems from the awareness that this is not merely a humanitarian crisis; it represents the most ferocious, organized, and prolonged operation of extermination of a civilian population, perpetrated daily, right before our eyes.
This massacre, which has dragged on for twenty months now, represents a dramatic test for the West and for international law. It’s a terrible, unacceptable event that reveals the indifference of many nations and the failure of a system of rules that should protect human dignity even in the darkest moments.
The deafness or ambiguity of many governments, which despite official condemnations often continue to provide material, logistical, or political support to Israel, makes them complicit in a conflict that has transformed into a true hell—a dehumanization that must be firmly opposed.
It’s no longer just about condemning; we must act concretely, challenging a system of alliances and interests that perpetuates this tragedy. Every day, the images arriving from Gaza and the West Bank tell stories of civilians—women, children, and the elderly—who are victims of an ethnic cleansing that is worsening, solidifying as a symbol of evil with deep and intricate roots.
Words of condemnation often come too late and are too weak given the scale of the ongoing disaster. The daily chronicle of this devastation risks becoming background noise amidst the deafening silence of those who prefer to look away or conceal their responsibilities.
This is not a normal conflict. It’s an unprecedented humanitarian crisis where the barriers between human rights and politics, between civilization and barbarism, are collapsing.
It is a genocide.
Israel is pursuing a policy of destruction that risks making any prospect of peaceful coexistence and hope for the future impossible. Unreserved international solidarity must also involve drastic actions, boycotts, diplomatic pressure, and an end to unconditional support. Nothing should be left unturned to stop this spiral of death and oppression.
In this context, Focus on Africa’s participation in the June 7 demonstration aims to be a strong, visible gesture of solidarity and responsibility. We cannot remain impassive spectators in the face of this tragedy that calls upon us as citizens and as members of a global community.
It is time to raise our voices against complicit silence, to demand justice, and to affirm the universal right to life and human dignity. Throughout this dramatic and painful ordeal, Palestinian resistance manifests not only as a will to survive but as a testament to humanity. In Gaza and the West Bank, civilians and goodwill activists courageously oppose a death machine organized by those who have chosen war as a means of asserting their power and destroying their adversary.
This is the true resistance: the ability to not lose sight of one’s humanity, to tell the truth, and to fight for a destiny of peace and freedom.
After the brutal terrorist attack of October 7, which the author and their entire editorial team condemned from the first moment, the wound that opened has transformed into an abyss of civilization, calling into question the foundations of coexistence of an international system often biased and hypocritical in the face of atrocities. But even in this tragedy, there are voices of those who resist, who dream of another perspective, who want to build a future of mutual respect and justice.
Therefore, we invite everyone to join our voice and the demonstration on June 7. Because stopping this ethnic cleansing is possible only through collective commitment, global mobilization, and the will to defend the most fundamental human rights. Even if it’s late to say “enough is enough,” we must persist in demanding that this massacre ends.
We can and must make our voices heard loudly, reiterating a clear message: human dignity is non-negotiable. It is time to act—for Gaza, for the future of Palestinians, for trampled humanity.
